We have confirmed that suspicious direct messages (DMs) are currently being sent from "fake accounts" impersonating our company on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, using our logo, product photos, and content without permission.
Observed methods:
- Send a DM saying you would like to pay ¥◯◯ if they post about using the product.
- The victim is directed to LINE, where they are tricked into clicking on a URL in the message, which opens the contract.
- Demanding payments in the name of reserves or fees.
Important notice to customers: The official OWL Optical account will never ask ambassadors or customers to enter credit card information or make payments via direct mail.
If you receive a suspicious DM,
Please do not access the account, delete the message, block the account, and report it to the social media operator.
In addition, although the fake accounts have very similar usernames (IDs), they are in no way affiliated with our company. Please be sure to check the ID.
